About BAB

BAB (Brazilian Architecture Biennial) is a cultural event that celebrates Brazil’s architectural production, bringing architecture closer to real life. It was created with the purpose of democratizing access to architecture in Brazil, presenting it as a practical, cultural, and thoughtful tool for transforming everyday life.

Created in São Paulo and made for all of Brazil, BAB is more than an exhibition — it will be an immersive, educational experience, bringing together different voices, territories, and ways of living, with spaces that blend real-life settings, sensory activations, brand showcases, and new talent.

The BAB competition winners

The BAB architecture competition has come to a close, and the winning projects have been selected. After an open, collaborative, and rigorous process organized by the Archa platform, professionals from all over the country submitted proposals that reveal the diversity of contemporary Brazilian architecture. These teams will now represent their respective states in the Brazil Pavilion, creating spaces that express not only regional identities but also the richness of Brazil’s biomes — from the Amazon to the Pampa, from the Cerrado to the Atlantic Forest, from the Caatinga to the Pantanal. For these ideas to take shape and come to life, each project relies on public support. We believe building the Brazil Pavilion is a collective effort — and everyone can be part of making it happen.
